It not only supports forehead or ear function, but is able to take room/object temperature. While all forehead thermometers can provide a temperature reading via the forehead, some models actually allow you to take readings in other ways as well. You can find thermometers with both forehead and ear modes, so you’re able to scan the forehead or insert the probe into the ear canal to take a temperature. Ear temperature readings can sometimes be more accurate, but inserting the probe into the ear isn’t advised for newborns and can disturb children who are sleeping. With our thermometer, you can switch between the two temperature-taking modes depending on your needs.
“We have gone through three cheap thermometers this flu season. I was ready to upgrade to something that is reliable and a good quality. This fits that description wonderfully. I love that this is either a forehead or ear thermometer. It is easy to use. This is a fantastic product. Highly recommend. ”

“We purchased 20 of these for our facilities to use in an emergency. I tested a unit against a standard ear probe and oral thermometer. All were within 0.3 F of one another. I did find that you need to make sure the probe is at the correct angle when measuring the forehead. I found that it was most accurate when in contact with the forehead. It did fall off a degree or two when moved a couple of inches away from the forehead. I like the ability to use the ear probe feature as a second check.”
- Kirsten Rhody
“It has all the functions that I need. I have tried both mode on a person and room and it’s pretty consistent with the temperature on either mode. ”
-Peter Silva
“This is a great thermometer. I have tried dozens and nothing has been even close to this one. Best investment! ”
